Foundation Weekend Meeting 2019

All old students are warmly invited to attend the upcoming Foundation Weekend on Saturday and Sunday, November 9 and 10, 2019 at Dhamma Suttama in Montebello. The schedule for the weekend is below.

Please consider attending any of the orientation or committee meetings on Saturday & Sunday, as well as the meeting of the Board of Directors on Sunday. Old students are also encouraged to offer service for meal preparation (Saturday noon and evening, and Sunday noon). If interested, please specify that you wish service this event when you register.

This friendly gathering will be an opportunity for participants and servers alike to meditate together, be involved in Centre life, and get to know other servers and assistant teachers.

It is not necessary to be familiar with the centre or already be involved in service to participate. All old students interested in learning how the Centre operates, from the Foundation and its committees, to what’s involved in giving service, in all its forms, are welcome!

You may arrive Saturday morning or later, at your convenience. However, please note the group sitting times, and keep in mind that you will be asked to meditate for one hour before participating in meetings.

Note: If you wish to sleep at the Centre, or wish to serve, you must register online on the calendar. If you are only attending the meetings for one day, please email us at: [email protected], indicating « Foundation weekend » in the subject title). In all cases, please mention your time of arrival, the length of your stay, and which meetings you wish to attend.
