Board
A rideshare
service is available for students enrolled in courses at Dhamma
Suttama. Following your confirmation into a course, you will receive
the necessary information to register yourself on the Rideshare
Board.
From Montreal: Take
Autoroute 10 East towards Sherbrooke to exit 68
then follow Route 139 South to Sutton. Continue on the
same road for approximately 7 km after you leave the village of
Sutton. When you reach the sign for Richford, Abercorn,
and Frelighsburg, turn left on Rue des Eglises Est heading
towards Glen Sutton. After approximately 3 km, turn right
onto Scenic Road. The Centre, at
1738 Scenic Road, is on the left-hand side of the road.
There
are daily buses from Montreal to Sutton. For information, take
a look at the bus schedule or call
autobus Veolia at 1 877 348-5599 (toll-free). Taxis to
the Centre from the bus drop-off point in Sutton cost approximately
$15. Also,
if you let us know in advance, we'll try to meet you at the bus
and bring to the center. Leave a message at (514) 484-3504.
To students from outside the city: please insure that you arrive
in Montreal in time to take the Sutton bus which leave from Station
Central Autobus Montreal (bus station located at 505 Maisonneuve
East) at 10:20 AM on Saturdays and Sundays, at 11:00 AM on week
days.
Students landing at
Montreal international Airport-Dorval may proceed to the Station
Central Autobus Montreal by Taxi or by shuttle bus; call toll
free: 1(800) 465-1213 for information.
From Quebec:
Take Autoroute 20 West to exit 130 at St.Hyacinthe.
Then take Route 137 South towards Granby, Route 112
East towards Waterloo, then Route 139 South towards
Cowansville. Follow the directions from Montreal after exit 68.
From Sherbrooke:
Take autoroute 10 West towards Montreal to exit
68. Follow the directions from Montreal after exit 68.
From Ottawa: Take
autoroute 417 East, which becomes autoroute 40 East,
then take autoroute 13 South. Continue on 20 East
to the Champlain Bridge. Cross the bridge and follow
the directions from Montreal.
From Toronto:
Take autoroute 401 East that becomes autoroute 20
East. Cross the Champlain Bridge and follow the directions
from Montreal.
From the USA:
(From Interstate 91 in Vermont)
- Travel north
through Vermont on Interstate 91 to Exit 26 at
Orleans.
- (From the
interstate you will follow five highways: Route 5 North,
Route 14 North, Route 105 West, Route 243 North,
Route 105A West.)
- Follow Route
5 N about 4 miles to Coventry at the junction of Route
14.
- Continue
on Routes 5/14 N for 1 mile.
- Turn left
following Route 14 N for 4.5 miles.
- After passing
gravel works, turn right following Route 100 N / 105 W and
continue for 0.8
mile north to the Route 105 W turnoff. Turn left.
- Follow Route
105 W for 8.8 miles through Newport Center to North Troy
(last gas before border).
- Take Route
243 N for 1 mile to the Canadian border.
- Continue
on Route 243 N through Highwater for 1.7 mile.
- Turn left
after second bridge onto Highway 105A W (chemin de la
Vallée-Mississiquoi).
- After 8.5
miles (about 2 miles past Glen Sutton) turn right onto Chemin
Scenic (Road).
- Dhamma
Suttama is on the right at number 1738,
Chemin Scenic (Road) after 2.1 miles.
- If you come
to Chemin Ingalls (Road) on the left, you've gone too
far.
